My forte in IT is working with Windows servers and Active Directory, but I also work with various Linux distributions including OpenSUSE, Redhat and Ubuntu. I am a CISSP and I have been working for years at implementing security in an educational infrastruture which has not been an easy thing. I have been working to develope security measures and practices/guidelines within higher education for a long time and have worked to secure the system I am responsible for as best as I can, utilizing technologies available to me such as IPSEC, TCPWrappers, Firewalls, Systems Logging and more.
I also enjoy working on small website projects for companies that need CMS solution sites to help make their company look more professional on the internet. I specialize in WordPress themes utilizing the Ultimatum framework for custom designed themes that are easy to update and manage. I utilize WordPress for it’s extensible framework which allows me to offer a large amount of feature without a lot of additional cost to my customers. On the flip side of sedentary IT world I also work as a certified fitness instructor of Les Mills BODYCOMBAT & BODYPUMP classes and as a Martial Arts instructor at Core Fitness in Iowa City and North Liberty. I enjoy every aspect of teaching the Les Mills programs. Les Mills has changed my life and introduced me to so many fantastic people. I love working every day to try and help people reach their fitness goals while working in an inviting environment!
